Masahiro knives, first manufactured in 1932, are a high carbon, stainless steel, “Western-style” knife. All the features of a Western knife with the manufacturing quality of a Japanese knife, the Masahiro range incorporates the best of both worlds, giving versatility to the knives, and confidence to the user. Sharpened only on the right hand side, these knives are intended for right hand usage only. We are in the process of trying to sourcing left handed Masahiro. We would strongly advise hand washing all knives, and sharpening only on a whetstone, due to the single edge.
